Line 6 laid the ground work for those excellent products.and in the modern iteration of Line 6 Products, the Helix can hold it's own in functionality, tone and versatility against any digital platform on offer today. It will do those functions quite adequately, but don't get bunched up because it isn't an A xe F/S or a Kemper. It'll get you by in a pinch and for practice, and that's it. Don't expect today's products to compare w/ this old school tool. The tones are from 17 years ago, and they were cutting edge at the time. It's plenty good enough to that, just don't expect to be able to track w/ it unless you're using the clean tones, then you're good to go. It is a great option for people traveling who don't want to miss their practice time and do a bit of lo-fi shredding. The Line 6 POD Studio GX is one of the recording interfaces with the lowest noise possible in its class, and it is capable of up to 24-bit/96 kHz recording capacity besides being USB 1.1 and 2.0 compatible. It's not geared in the 2019 reality to be a viable amp replacement, sim or emulator you can use live. OS X Drivers, over 80 fully adjustable guitar and bass amperes, and a volume knob for easy recording. The tech is dated, but, if you're using it like I do, to keep my chops up while traveling in down time, it's fine.
